Eric Boyer, CISSP

Eric Boyer, CISSP, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Eric began their career in the US Navy, serving as a Fire Controlman and managing a team in the maintenance and operations of the Phalanx CIWS system. After completing their military service, Eric joined Boeing as a Software Engineer, where they developed embedded and distributed applications for Department of Defense customers. Eric then transitioned to Solidyn Solutions, Inc - A Polaris Alpha Company, where they worked as a Software Engineer developing cloud-native applications for Federal Agencies using AWS, Java, and various OSS technologies. Eric further expanded their expertise at Microsoft, working as an Application Development Consultant. Most recently, they served as a Senior Application Development Consultant at Red Hat. Presently, Eric is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Hypori.

Eric Boyer, CISSP, obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Security Engineering from Southern Methodist University, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from DeVry University, during the period 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Eric holds multiple certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², which they received in September 2015. Eric has also obtained certifications from Red Hat, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in various cloud computing and development specialties.
