You demonstrate humble leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the technical chops to push the caliber and range of concepts.
Responsibilities
Lead or actively participate in design research, client and vendor brainstorming sessions, project concept generation, refinement, and ergonomic design activities
Translate complex customer requirements and design research into highly usable and feasible design solutions
Think like a project manager: prioritize client satisfaction and relationships, manage budget and timeline, and create and maintain project vision
Develop concepts, functional and aesthetic mock-ups, and prototypes as needed to support projects internally and externally
Foster cross-functional collaboration throughout the development process from initial kickoff to manufactured deliverables
Assist in sales efforts, acting as a champion for design and design thinking as we seek multidisciplinary projects that require this mindset.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or similar technical design degree from an accredited program.
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience (consultancy experience a plus, but not required)
Experience leading multi-disciplinary projects and mentoring team members
A strong understanding of the design process, common materials, and manufacturing
Expert level in concept sketching, Adobe Suite, and Keyshot skills, proficiency in Solidworks
Confident public speaker with dynamic presentation skills and the ability to connect with people during sales and internal meetings
