Bas de Kan

Bas de Kan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of data science and engineering. Bas began their career as a Data Science Consultant at NAVARA and Alliander from March 2020 to April 2022. Bas then worked as a Data Scientist at Harvest from October 2020 to October 2021. Bas also gained experience as a Lead Data Engineer at i4talent starting in May 2022 and as a Data Engineer at Broekhuis from July 2022. Bas briefly worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at DSM from November 2022 to January 2023 before transitioning to their current role as a Data Engineer at DSM. Prior to their professional experience, Bas served as a Student Board Member of the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Universiteit Utrecht from September 2018 to September 2019 and as a Student-assistent from September 2016 to August 2019. Bas also served as the Secretary of Studievereniging Sticky from September 2015 to September 2016, where they were responsible for administrative tasks.

Bas de Kan obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Informatica from Utrecht University, graduating in 2017. Bas then pursued a Master of Science degree in Game and Media Technology at Utrecht University, which they completed in 2020. Bas de Kan has also obtained various certifications, including Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2021, TensorFlow Developer Certificate from TensorFlow Certificate Program in 2021, Ethical Hacking Specialist from Secured by Design in 2021, Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in 2020, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2020.
