Aoife Balfe is an accomplished Animation Generalist and educator with extensive experience in teaching and production. Currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology since October 2021, Aoife delivers Life Drawing classes and provides tutoring for animation students across all four years, alongside running interdisciplinary workshops. As a co-founder and Company Secretary of My Aunt Sally Productions, Aoife engages in concept development and design while also contributing as a director and artist on various projects, including several animated music videos and shorts. Aoife's animation and compositing work span multiple companies, including contributions to notable projects such as Tony Donoghue's Rural Rituals and character animation for Stories from Backwoods, demonstrating a diverse skill set in both education and creative production within the animation industry. Aoife holds a Level 9 Certificate in Teaching & Learning and a Bachelor of Arts in Animation from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
