**Position Overview:**

IB3 Global Solutions is looking for a talented nuclear engineer to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in advancing our national security missions and achieving key program goals.

**Essential Job Functions & Duties:**

* Perform gamma/neutron radiation transport studies to model the response of various radiation detection systems.
* Design, build, and test novel sensor systems with laboratory-developed detection algorithms.
* Perform test and measurement experiments to characterize sensor performance.
* Develop data analysis tools in Python, Matlab, Root, or similar languages.
* Develop data acquisition systems for tailored applications.
* Write technical reports summarizing R&D efforts.
* Conceive of and contribute to R&D proposals for new work.
* Lead and collaborate on projects at low and mid Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs).
* Stay up-to-date with advancements in nuclear engineering and related fields.
