Paula Piernas

Paula Piernas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the renewable energy and energy markets sectors. Currently, at Iberdrola as Business Development Germany focused on Renewable Energy since January 2023, Paula previously held significant roles at Grupo Cobra from March 2020 to December 2022, including International Business Development and M&A as well as Energy Market Manager, overseeing energy market operations for renewable assets. Prior to that, Paula contributed to Total from August 2017 to March 2020 as Pricing and Portfolio Manager, participating in the establishment of the gas and power division in Spain. Earlier experience includes various positions at ENGIE from September 2011 to August 2017, where responsibilities ranged from Pricing and Offering Responsible to Electricity and Gas Markets Trader. Paula's educational background includes a Business Expert degree from thePower and an Ingenieria de Minas degree from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, along with an Erasmus scholarship at Delft University of Technology.
