Lead Research Scientist – Image Quality At IBEX Innovations at Ibex Innovations

Richard McWilliam has extensive experience in research and development, specializing in image quality, self-healing electronics, and optical systems. From 2016 to the present, they have held the position of Lead Research Scientist – Image Quality at IBEX Innovations. Prior to this, from 2011 to 2015, they were a Research Fellow & Project Manager at EPSRC Centre for Through Life Engineering Services, Durham University. Richard'swork focused on self-healing electronics for high-value systems. From 2003 to 2011, they worked as a Research Associate at Durham University, specializing in optical systems and digital holography.

Richard McWilliam earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Richard later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Durham University, completing their studies from 1999 to 2003.
