Simon Ooms

Simon Ooms has a strong background in IC design engineering. Simon currently holds a senior position at iCana, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Magics Technologies as a senior analog IC design engineer from February 2022 to July 2022, and as an analog IC design engineer from February 2021 to February 2022. Simon also has experience in research, serving as a research assistant and PhD student at KU Leuven dept. ESAT/MICAS from October 2015 to August 2021.

Simon Ooms has a strong educational background in electrical and electronic engineering. Simon started their academic journey in 2010 at KU Leuven, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. This program lasted for three years and was completed in 2013.

Building on their undergraduate studies, Simon continued their education at KU Leuven and enrolled in a Master of Engineering program from 2013 to 2015. During this time, their focus remained on electrical and electronic engineering. Upon completion of their master's degree, Simon further pursued their academic interests by joining KU Leuven for a Doctor of Engineering Science (PhD) program in electrical engineering.

Simon's doctoral studies began in 2015 and lasted until 2021. This extensive program allowed him to gain an in-depth understanding of electrical engineering and develop expertise in this field. Throughout their education, Simon consistently demonstrated a dedication to learning and expanding their knowledge in electrical and electronic engineering.
