Irunn Ketilsdottir

Irunn Ketilsdottir has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2003, they worked as a Teacher at the City of Aarhus. Irunn then interned at the DELEGATION OF THE EUROPEAN UNION IN NORWAY/EEAS in 2005. In the same year, they also took on the role of a Sales Manager at Advania Ísland until 2007. From 2008 to 2011, they served as the Director of IT contracts, procurement, and Vendor management at Íslandsbanki, responsible for negotiating with IT vendors and relaunching IT systems after the bank's collapse. In 2011, they became the Executive Director of IT Finance, overseeing IT investments and financial reporting. From 2016 to 2020, Irunn held the position of Executive Director of General Services & Procurement, managing three divisions and a significant operational budget. Irunn then became the IT Finance & Sustainability member of the bank's Sustainability Committee until 2021. In 2022, they worked as a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Controlant before joining Icelandair as the Director of General Service and Strategic Procurement.

Irunn Ketilsdottir earned a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Reykjavik University in 1999-2001. Irunn then pursued two Master's degrees, the first in International Business & Marketing from Háskóli Íslands in 2002-2005, and the second in EU business & law from Aarhus BSS - Aarhus University in 2003-2006.
