Shay Strong

Shay Strong is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product development, data science, and machine learning. Currently serving as Vice President of Product + Engineering at ICEYE, Shay leads a multi-disciplinary team focused on developing natural catastrophe products using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). Previous roles include Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington eScience Institute, Co-Founder at HeartRate AI, and Lead in ML Engineering at Rebellion Defense. As Director of Data Science & Machine Learning at EagleView, Shay orchestrated international teams to extract features from geospatial imagery, and as Chief Data Scientist at OmniEarth, Shay focused on geospatial big data modeling and remote sensing analytics. Shay's academic background includes a PhD in Astrophysics from The University of Texas at Austin and experience as a lecturer at both the University of Maryland Baltimore County and The University of Texas at Austin.
