Matthew Rooz

Matthew Rooz has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Matthew currently works as a Senior Software QA Engineer at MissionSquare Retirement, where they are responsible for functional testing of investment apps, providing test strategy and procedures, and regression fixing. Prior to this, Matthew worked at MathWorks as a Senior Quality Engineer, ensuring the quality of the Phased Array Toolbox by developing test strategies, procedures, and conducting quality assessments. Matthew also has experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Ocean Acoustics and Signal Processing Lab, where they supervised experiments, prepared grant proposals, and conducted ambient noise modeling in the deep ocean. Matthew's early career included roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at George Mason University and Student Member positions at the Acoustical Society of America and IEEE. Matthew also served as a Full Time Instructor at the Pasargad Higher Education Institute, where they held various positions and responsibilities within the Electronics and ICT Department.

Matthew Rooz completed their education with a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University in the years 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University, studying from 2002 to 2005. Matthew started their academic journey by obtaining a B.S in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University between 1998 and 2002.
