Alek K.

Alek K. has a diverse range of work experience in the animation industry. Starting in 2019, Alek worked as a Senior Character Animator at Artella, contributing to the short film "Run Totti Run." In the same year, Alek also worked as a 3D Animator at Superseed Studios.

In 2020, Alek joined Jellyfish Pictures as a 3D Animator before moving on to Cinesite in 2021 for a role as a 3D Animator.

From 2017 to 2020, Alek gained valuable experience as a 3D Animator at Sony Pictures Imageworks.

In 2021, Alek took on the role of Lead Character Animator at WildBrain and later became an Animation Director/Supervisor at the same company from 2022 to 2023.

Alek also had a mentorship role at AnimSchool starting from 2022, providing guidance in character performance and teaching 3D animation.

Moving forward, Alek will be working as an Animation Director at ICON Creative Studio from 2023 and will also be a guest speaker at TAAFI in the same year, sharing insights into the animation process for Sonic Prime.

Alek K. has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Animation and Visual Effects from the University of Worcester. They also hold a 3D character animation Diploma from AnimSchool. Prior to their higher education, Alek K. obtained a High School Diploma from First Language School, where they studied Fine Art, English, German, and Bulgarian. In addition to their formal education, Alek K. has obtained various certifications. They have completed a Lunch & Learn session on Showrunning with Michael Vogel from WildBrain, as well as a Lunch & Learn session on the development process from start to finish, also from WildBrain. Alek K. has participated in multiple masterclasses, including one with John Musker from the Spark CG Society in March 2019 and another with James Baxter on creating character through animation, also from the Spark CG Society in September 2018. In 2018, Alek K. attended a 3-day masterclass at the Animation Collaborative, Inc. They also completed a 3D Character Animation program at AnimSchool in January 2012.
