Francesca Lolli, Ph.D.

Francesca Lolli, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Francesca is currently working at ICON as a Lead Sustainability Engineer since May 2022. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology from May 2019 to May 2022. Francesca pursued their Ph.D. in Civil Engineering as a student at Newcastle University from September 2015 to May 2019. Francesca also worked as a Visiting Ph.D. Student at Georgia Institute of Technology from June 2017 to June 2018. Additionally, Francesca has professional experience as a Tirocinante Ufficio Marketing e Comunicazione at Wienerberger Italia from May 2015 to August 2015. Francesca participated in a workshop at Patrocinio Soprintendenza Beni Architettonici Paesaggistici per le Province di Parma e Piacenza in July 2014. Francesca's early work experience includes being a Stagiaire - Trainee at Service Territorial de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine from February 2010 to April 2010 and being an étudiante specialité génie de l’aménagement at Ecole Polytechnique de Tours from September 2009 to March 2010.

Francesca Lolli, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. Francesca began their academic journey at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 2006, where they studied Ingegneria Edile-Architettura and completed their degree in this field in 2014. Afterward, they pursued a Master universitario II livello in "Il progetto sostenibile: recupero edilizio e rigenerazione urbana" at the same institution for the academic year 2014-2015. In 2015, they joined Newcastle University to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering, which they completed in 2019. Concurrently, they continued their education at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, specializing in Tecnologia dei materiali; sostenibilità for their Ingegneria Edile Architettura degree.
