Linda Rurka Dooley

Linda Rurka Dooley has extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property and trademarks. Linda is currently serving as Senior Counsel and Global Intellectual Property Manager at Iconix International since April 2022, where they manage the global trademark portfolio of 25 consumer brands across various industries. Previously, they worked at RB, where they held the position of Senior Counsel, managing the North American trademark portfolio for the company's health, hygiene, and home businesses, as well as the global trademark portfolio for its food business.

Before RB, Linda worked as a Senior Trademark Specialist, and later as a Trademark Specialist Consultant at RB. Linda also had a role as Senior Counsel at Realogy Holdings Corp., where they worked from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they served as Trademark Counsel at GE from 2006 to 2008 and as Associate Counsel at Footstar from 1998 to 2006.

Linda's early career included positions as IP Case Manager at Gibbons, Del Deo, Dolan, Griffinger & Vecchione, P.C., where they filed and prosecuted U.S. trademark applications. Linda also worked as a Strategic Information Specialist at Navisys, LLC and as a Trademark/Licensing Associate at Grimes & Battersby, where they also filed and prosecuted U.S. trademark applications.

Throughout their career, Linda has demonstrated expertise in trademark prosecution, clearance searches, infringement matters, and drafting/negotiating trademark-related agreements. Linda has a strong background in managing large trademark portfolios and providing legal opinions on availability.

Linda Rurka Dooley completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Clark University from 1986 to 1990. Following that, they pursued their Juris Doctor degree at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law from 1991 to 1994. UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, previously known as FPLC, is a renowned law program specializing in Intellectual Property law and has been recognized as one of the top 10 programs in the United States for over 20 years.
