Venkatesh Jeganathan

Venkatesh Jeganathan, Ph.D., is a highly experienced researcher currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at ICON plc since November 2020, specializing in the cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway and chronic vagus nerve stimulation as a novel therapeutic approach for autoimmune diseases, particularly using rodent models of Experimental Autoimmune Encephalitis. Prior to this, Venkatesh held the position of Principal Scientist at SetPoint Medical and has a rich research background at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, where endeavors included biomarker discovery and therapeutic assay development for systemic lupus erythematosus, alongside previous roles in various esteemed institutions focusing on autoimmune diseases and tuberculosis. Venkatesh earned a Ph.D. in Tuberculosis of the Nervous System from Christian Medical College & Hospital, India, and has made significant contributions as an associate editor for the journal Molecular Medicine.
