Tim Alefantis

Tim Alefantis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Tim currently serves as the Vice President and Global Program Head at Icosavax, Inc. since April 2023. Before that, they worked at Sanofi, where they held various positions including Associate VP and Global Project Head in R&D, R&D Global Project Head, Senior Director, Pre to Early Development Project Leader, Head of BPIV Project Leadership in FluNXT, Director, Pre to Early Development Project Leader - R&D Global Projects, and Deputy Director Bacteriology. Tim started at Sanofi in November 2010 and left in April 2023. Prior to their time at Sanofi, Tim was the Chief Product Development Officer at Vital Probes, Inc. from September 2002 to November 2010.

Tim Alefantis received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology from Ithaca College between 1992 and 1996. Tim then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Capital College, Pennsylvania State University, between 1999 and 2002. During the same period, they also earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology & Immunology from Penn State College of Medicine. In terms of additional certifications, Tim Alefantis obtained several from IDEO U, including "Leading for Creativity" in December 2019, "Storytelling for Influence" in November 2019, "Designing Strategy" in October 2019, and "Cultivating Creative Collaboration" in June 2019. Tim is also a registered product owner and scrum master, having received these certifications from Scrum Inc.
