Neal Galehouse, P.E. has a diverse work experience in engineering. Neal is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Ingham County since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Specialist at the National Center for Pavement Preservation from November 2014 to May 2022. Neal also had notable roles at NCDOT, including Prequalification Engineer from June 2011 to October 2014 and Research Staff Engineer from February 2007 to May 2011. Before NCDOT, Neal worked as a Right of Way Engineer at the City of Lansing, Michigan from April 2003 to February 2007, and as a Field Engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff in the USA (now WSP USA) from January 2002 to April 2003.
Neal Galehouse, P.E. holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Neal also has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from North Carolina State University, which they earned from 2008 to 2011. Neal is a Professional Engineer certified by both the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Land Surveyors (obtained in 2007) and the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (obtained in 2006).
