Project Lead - Fit For Purpose Project at ICT Authority

Joshua Opondo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple sectors. Joshua worked as a Project Lead and Project Manager at the ICT Authority, where they were responsible for drafting project concepts, setting up support teams, and monitoring project implementation. Joshua also served as the Infrastructure Projects Lead at the National Projects, overseeing a large team and ensuring performance targets were met.

In addition, Opondo worked as the County ICT Manager at the Migori County Government, where they developed and implemented ICT deployment plans and coordinated the countywide network. Joshua also worked as an Information and Communication Technology Officer at the Ministry of Finance, where they led the development of ICT strategies and ensured the availability of goods and supplies.

Within the Government of Kenya, Opondo served as a System Development Lead for various projects, including Recruitment and Selection System and Registry Management System, where they defined project objectives and determined feasibility.

Earlier in their career, Opondo worked as a Computer Applications Lecturer at Kenya Polytechnic and as an Editor in Chief for student professional journals at the University of Nairobi.

Joshua Opondo completed a Master of Science in Computer Based Information Systems at Strathmore University from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom degree in Management Science from the University of Nairobi, from 1997 to 2001. Joshua also has additional certifications, including a Strategic Leadership Development Course and a Senior Management Course from the Kenya School of Government. Joshua is also certified in PRINCE2 Agile Foundation & Practitioner from PRINCE2.com.
