Susie Heilman

Susie Heilman has a strong background in cloud engineering and cybersecurity. Susie worked at ID Dataweb as a Senior Cloud Engineer starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Principal Cloud Automation Engineer at Foresite Cybersecurity & Compliance from 2022 to 2023. In this role, they led the translation and productionalization of the company's data ingest pipeline and log analytics architecture into Terraform code for various AWS services. Susie also performed network reconnaissance and analyzed network and data topologies. Susie's previous role was as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at MITRE from 2016 to 2022. In this position, they were the Technical Lead responsible for deploying Hyperledger Fabric for research on using permissioned blockchain technology. Susie also created a cyber gameboard for red team operations and deployed and configured infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and Ansible.

Susie Heilman completed their education in Computer Science and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Susie earned their Associate of Science degree from Montgomery County Community College from 2011 to 2013. Susie then pursued further education at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree from 2013 to 2015, followed by a Master's degree from 2013 to 2016.
