Mark Shorten

Mark Shorten has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Mark started their career at Aviva in 2007 as a Personal Lines employee. Mark then worked at BDO Ireland in 2010, where they focused on marketing and event management. In 2011, they joined Cornmarket Group Financial Services as a Health Insurance Advisor. Mark then worked at LivingSocial as a Priority Partner Account Manager in 2013 before moving to Onsite Health Ltd. Ireland as a Business Development & Client Relations Manager. In 2015, they joined Munster Rugby in a Sales & Marketing role. In 2017, Mark joined Mercer Ireland as a Marketing Coordinator before transitioning to IDA Ireland, where they took on roles such as Assistant Business Development Executive and Business Development Executive in the South-West Region. Currently, Mark holds the position of VP Financial Services & Life Sciences at IDA Ireland, where their responsibilities include assisting Canadian companies in setting up and expanding in Ireland.

Mark Shorten completed their education history as follows:

- In 2017 and 2018, they attended the University of Limerick, where they pursued a Specialist Diploma programme in Aviation, Leasing, and Finance.

- From 2014 to 2015, they also studied at the University of Limerick, earning an MSc in Marketing, Consumption & Society with Honours.

- In 2011 and 2012, they attended Dublin Business School to obtain a Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, and Advertising.

- During the same period, they also studied at the Insurance Institute, where they completed a DIP Private Medical Insurance program.

- From 2005 to 2009, they pursued a B.A in International Insurance and European Studies at the University of Limerick.

- In 2007, they participated in an Erasmus program at the Universidad de Valladolid.

- Lastly, in 1999 and 2005, they completed their Leaving Certificate at Ardscoil Rís.

Additionally, Mark Shorten obtained additional certifications, including:

- Online Marketing and Digital Strategy from Griffith College Ireland, which they obtained in January 2016.

- Level Two Tennis Coach from Tennis Ireland, which they obtained in September 2010.
