Douglas Malich

Douglas Malich has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the banking industry. Douglas has served as the SVP, Head of Treasury and Private Bank Investments and Trading Operations at Israel Discount Bank since May 2018. In this role, they manage all bank trading and wholesale deposit program operations and is responsible for the day-to-day management of various operations including foreign exchange, interest rate swap, and structured derivative operations. Douglas also oversees collateral management, risk reporting, trade verification, settlements, valuations, and P&L. Douglas has led major projects such as core banking conversion and private bank asset servicing conversion.

Prior to their current role, Douglas was the SVP, Head of Operations at Bank Leumi USA from July 2013 to January 2018. Douglas managed all five operations departments, supporting commercial and private banking products and clientele. Douglas was responsible for developing and implementing technical and operational strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.

From 2006 to 2013, Douglas worked at HSBC as the Vice President-Manager-Private Bank Investments Operations and Service Group. Douglas provided primary support for various trading and servicing operations for the private bank investments group. Douglas was responsible for trade execution, performance measurement, fund accounting, and maintenance of hedge fund portfolios.

Douglas also worked at Citibank from 2004 to 2006 as the Vice President-Project and Operations Manager in the Private Bank Investments Service Group.

Earlier in their career, from 1997 to 2003, Douglas worked at JPMorgan Chase. Douglas held various roles including Vice President-Project/Product Development in the Repo and Securities Lending Group, where they were responsible for planning, managing, and implementing development projects. Douglas also served as the Head of Middle Office Operations in the Securities Lending and Repo division.

Throughout their career, Douglas has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and operational skills in the banking industry.

Douglas Malich holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University. Douglas also obtained the Series 7 and 63 certifications from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in 2010. Additionally, they are currently pursuing a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
