Scott Stinson has a diverse work experience in both government and private sectors. Scott started their career as a Research Assistant at Harkins Cunningham LLP in 2005. Scott then served as a Regional Field Director for the Kansas Democratic Party in 2006, working on the re-election campaign of Gov. Sebelius and Rep. Moore. In 2007, they joined the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Dennis Moore, where they managed committee portfolios, drafted talking points, and handled correspondence. Scott also served as the Congressman's Budget and Small Business Committee assignments manager, as well as their policy lead for the 2009 Recovery Act. From 2011 to 2014, Scott worked at the U.S. Department of Defense as a Program Analyst, focusing on policy and external affairs related to protecting the voting rights of deployed service members and U.S. citizens living overseas. Since 2015, they have been working at ideas42, where they hold the position of Chief of Staff. Scott has played a crucial role in building and scaling business operations for the company, leading operational improvement projects and managing the business operations team.

Scott Stinson has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and History from William & Mary, which they received in 2005. In 2010, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Political Theory from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
