Persis Poku

Persis Poku, M.S has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. They started their career as a MFG Engineer with Altra Industrial Motion in 2008. They then worked as a Quality Engineer (co-op) at Parker Hannifin before becoming an Engineer 2 and Value Stream Team Leader. At Stanley Black & Decker, they served as a Value Stream Engineer, managing day-to-day challenges and improving operating processes. After joining Gast Manufacturing, Inc., Persis progressed from a Value Stream Supervisor to a Value Stream Manager, taking on supply chain interactions and leading continuous improvement projects. They also gained experience as a Business Line Manager at IDEX Optical Technologies - CVI Laser Optics, where they were responsible for P&L, operations, sales, and marketing. Currently, Persis holds the position of Director of Operations at IDEX Corporation and IDEX Optical Technologies. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in operations management, strategy development, team leadership, and quality improvement.

Persis Poku, M.S, obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Technology Management (operations, supply chain, lean and six sigma) from Central Connecticut State University in the years 2012-2014. Prior to that, Persis earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Technology Management from the same university in the years 2006-2011. Additionally, Persis holds certifications in Focus and Foundations from Pragmatic Institute, obtained in the year 2020.
