Valerie Wong

Valerie Wong has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical pathology and bioanalysis. Valerie began their career as a Clinical Pathologist at IDEXX BioAnalytics in March 2017 and held this role until April 2018. From May 2018 to April 2019, Valerie served as a Clinical Pathologist & Interim Operations Manager at the same company. Valerie then became a Clinical Pathologist & Senior Operations Manager from May 2019 to April 2021. Valerie's expertise and leadership abilities led their to become the Head of Clinical Pathology from May 2021 to March 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Clinical Pathology and Bioanalysis at IDEXX BioAnalytics, starting from March 2023. Prior to their work at IDEXX BioAnalytics, Valerie was an Assistant Professor at Midwestern University (AZ) from February 2014 to February 2017.

Valerie Wong holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Guelph. Valerie also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pathobiology from the same university. Additionally, Valerie earned a Master of Veterinary Science (MVetSc) degree in Veterinary Clinical Pathology from the University of Saskatchewan. Valerie has additional certifications as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in Clinical Pathology and as a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) from ASQ - World Headquarters. Valerie recently obtained the DABT certification from the American Board of Toxicology, Inc. in December 2021.
