Senior Director, Label Development at IDOL

Thomas Sharp Maxwell is the Senior Director of Label Development and A&R at IDOL. Thomas has over six years of experience in the music industry, working with some of the biggest names in the business. Thomas started their career as the Director of Music Services at Jamplify, before moving on to Paper Garden Records as the Content and Events Director. Thomas then spent three years as the Director of Artist and Label Relations at Grooveshark. After a brief stint at Universal Music Group in Promotions, they joined The Office of Al and Tipper Gore as the Digital Media Manager. Thomas then spent five months as the Marketing/Publicity Manager at Dualtone Music Group before joining The Bluebird Cafe as the Events and Promotions Manager. In 2016, they opened IDOL's first US office.

Thomas Sharp Maxwell attended Belmont University from 2005 to 2009. Thomas graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration with a major in Music Business. Their relevant course structure included Intellectual Properties, Legal Issues in the Music Industry, Music Publishing Administration, Artist Management, Public Relations in the Music Industry, Advanced Copyright Law, Artist Promotions, Marketing, Record Company Operations, Audio Engineering, Music Production, and Theirtory of the Music Industry.
