Johannes Diesel

Johannes Diesel is a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd since April 2021, leading the lead optimization team and previously serving as lab head in the Hit-to-Lead team. Prior to this, Johannes held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University from February 2020 to March 2021 under the guidance of Prof. Dave MacMillan. Johannes has a strong research background, having worked as a Research Assistant at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne from August 2015 to November 2019 with Prof. Nicolai Cramer, and at Universität Leipzig from March 2012 to December 2012 with Prof. Christoph Schneider. Additionally, Johannes completed a short internship in Medicinal Chemistry at Roche in 2014. Academically, Johannes earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from EPFL (2015-2019), an MS in Chemistry from Leipzig University (2012-2015), and a BS in Chemistry from Leipzig University (2009-2012), with ongoing studies at Ohio University.
