Marina Igual has extensive experience in data science and biomedical research. Marina is currently working at Idoven as an R&D Data Scientist, where they apply advanced data science methods to biomedical data in order to improve and maintain the cardiology solutions of the company. Marina collaborates closely with product, strategy, and business leaders to drive company developments and make data-driven decisions.

Prior to joining Idoven, Marina worked at NTT DATA Europe & LATAM as a Data Scientist in the Health Sector. In this role, they utilized their data science expertise to contribute to projects within the healthcare industry.

Marina also has experience as a Data Scientist at Allot Communications, where they applied their skills in data analysis and modeling to support the company's objectives. Before that, they worked at CNIC - Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research as a Bioinformatician. In this role, Marina collected and cleaned clinical data, developed algorithms and computer tools for proteomics analysis, and conducted complex data analysis. Additionally, they managed and improved the software developed by the proteomic research group.

Marina's early career included positions as an Internal Student at the Departament of Genetics and Microbiology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. During their time there, they collected and analyzed experimental data, translated cellular measures into cancer diagnostic and progression indicators, and assisted with lab program organization and equipment maintenance. Marina also served as a Research Assistant Undergraduate Student, where they designed and supported a lab database and developed databases with information on genetic variants for colorectal cancer.

Additionally, Marina gained research experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute - IDIBELL, where they focused on computational prediction of genetic variant effects in cancer development and annotation of genetic features using public databases.

Overall, Marina Igual has a strong background in data science, bioinformatics, and biomedical research, with a particular emphasis on applying advanced data analysis techniques to improve healthcare solutions.

Marina Igual completed their Bachelor's degree in Genetics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Afterwards, they pursued a Master's degree in Computational Biology at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, from 2018 to 2019. In addition, Marina obtained a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) in September 2019 from Cambridge Institute (Madrid, España) and a First Certificate in English (FCE) from Cambridge Institute Spain in October 2015.
