Tomoaki Otsuki

Tomoaki Otsuki received a Ph.D. degree from Keio University in 1994. After working at the Science University of Tokyo, he joined Keio University in 2005 and is currently a professor. He is a recipient of Ericsson Young Scientist Award 2000, 2002 Funai Information and Science Award for Young Scientist, IEEE AP Young Researcher Award 2001, 2011 IEEE SPCE Outstanding Service Award, the 27th TELECOM System Technology Award, CHINACOM ’14 Best Paper Award, and so on. He served as a Chair of IEEE ComSoc, SPCE TC, and is serving as an Area Editor of the IEEE TVT and an editor of the IEEE COMST. He has served as general-co chair, symposium co-chair, and TPC co-chair of many conferences, including IEEE GLOBECOM 2008, 2012, SPC, IEEE ICC 2011 CTS, 2020, SPC. He was the President of ComSoc, IEICE. He is a distinguished lecturer of the IEEE VT society and a fellow of the IEICE.
