Hamid S.

Hamid S. has over 35 years of experience in Electric Utilities and EPC Substation projects, holding various leadership roles in his career. Currently semi-retired, Hamid remains active in IEEE, having served as Oregon past chair in 2017 and chair of the local IEEE PES chapter. Previous positions include Manager of Engineering at Stantec, Senior Substation Technical Advisor at HDR, and Senior Substation Principal Engineer at PacifiCorp, where specialized expertise in high voltage substation design and project engineering was developed. Hamid also served as an adjunct faculty member at Portland State University, contributing to education in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Hamid holds a Master's degree from Portland State University and a Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology.
