James Gilb

Chair at IEEE802

James Gilb serves as the IEEE 802 LMSC Chair and has held multiple leadership positions within the IEEE 802 LMSC since 2000, including First and Second Vice Chair, as well as various roles related to technical editing and policy development. Currently, James is a Principal RF System Engineer at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and also operates as a Principal Consultant at Gilb Consulting, Inc. Previous experience includes key positions at companies such as Pulse Link, Tensorcom, SiBEAM, Appairent Technologies, Mobilian, Motorola, and Northrop Grumman, focusing on radio frequency engineering, system architecture, and standards development. James holds a Ph.D., MSEE, and BSEE in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electromagnetics from Arizona State University.
