Lei Zhong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and management within the automotive and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as Group Manager and Principal Researcher at Toyota Motor Corporation since 2018, Lei also holds leadership roles in the Automotive Edge Computing Consortium and is the Chief Toyota delegate in various technical groups, including 3GPP and IEEE802. Lei's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Informatics from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies and advanced degrees in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Tongji University and China University of Mining and Technology. Prior to current roles, Lei has contributed to research positions at prominent institutions such as The University of Tokyo and various national research institutes.
