Loïs Lelanchon

Program Manager, Wildlife Rescue at IFAW

Loïs Lelanchon joined the International Fund for Animal Welfare in April 2017 and coordinates our Wildlife Rescue efforts on the EU-North Africa front.

Loïs is leading our Live Animals Seized in Trade (LAST) project that helps law enforcement officials implement the procedures and best practices that they need to properly care for animals rescued from wildlife trafficking.

He is also an advocate for legal and policy improvements to ensure global wildlife conservation policies integrate the welfare of individual live animals.

In addition, Loïs Lelanchon is specialized in animal law and international environmental law and is currently pursuing his PhD research in the Human Security and Global Law program of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain).
