Don Gilpin

Don Gilpin has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Don began their career in 1982 at the Dayton Hudson Corporation, where they provided marketing support for catalogs in the home health market. Don then moved on to Deluxe Corporation in 1987, where they served as a Marketing Specialist, coordinating the production of business-to-business direct mail catalogs.

In 1992, Gilpin joined the National Precast Concrete Association as the Director of Trade Shows, Marketing, and Magazine Publishing. In this role, they were responsible for exhibit sales, trade show coordination, and on-site management of an industry trade show.

Gilpin then transitioned to the Raybourn Group International in 1998, becoming the Executive Director of the Interior Design Educators Council. During this time, they managed membership recruitment, conference planning, and other association needs.

In 2000, Gilpin joined CEDIA, taking on various roles such as Executive Director and COO, Director of Workforce Development and Veterans Employment. In these positions, they provided leadership, acted as a liaison to other industry organizations, and worked with the US Department of Labor, US Veterans Administration, and US Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

Most recently, Gilpin became the President and CEO of IFMA in 2018. As the head of the world's largest association for facility management professionals, they oversee a membership that manages over 78 billion square feet and supports professionals in more than 100 countries.

Don Gilpin attended Franklin College from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
