Stefan Treloar

Stefan Treloar has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information security. Stefan is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at IG, a leading online trading and investments provider. In this role, they are responsible for the successful delivery of the Group Information Security Strategy and Policy, as well as the deployment and ongoing management of Group Data Governance and Business Continuity.

Prior to their current position, Stefan worked as the Head of Information Security at IG from 2015 to 2020. Stefan was responsible for overseeing the implementation of information security measures and ensuring compliance with regulatory entities.

Before joining IG, Stefan held the position of Information Security Operations Manager at Camelot, the UK Operator for The National Lottery. In this role, they worked towards maintaining the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of Camelot's business services and protecting the company from cyber threats.

Stefan's career also includes roles at Reed Exhibitions, where they served as the Global Governance and Information Security Manager and the Security and Infra Global Governance Authority. Stefan was responsible for providing consultancy to international exhibition customers and improving operational and security teams and processes.

Earlier in their career, Stefan worked as an IT Consultant/Architect at Amazon.co.uk and as an IT Manager/Consultant at Pagoda Consulting. Stefan also has a background in intelligence analysis and linguistics, having worked as an Intelligence Operator for HM Forces.

Throughout their career, Stefan has acquired knowledge and skills in leadership, team management, problem-solving, and first aid through various promotional courses and experiences.

Stefan Treloar has an extensive education history. Stefan completed the Level 7 Award Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute from 2020 to 2023. Stefan also pursued an Executive MBA and Chartered Manager with Distinction at Cranfield University from 2020 to 2022, specializing in Strategic Leadership and Management. Additionally, from 2017 to 2019, Stefan studied Leadership and Management at City and Guilds, focusing on Organizational Leadership.

In 2012, they obtained certification as a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) from ECC Council. Similarly, in 2010, Stefan attended Harvard Business Management Essentials, where they studied Strategy, Financial Management, Leadership, and Coaching.

Stefan has also received various professional certifications, including becoming an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor from BSI in 2011 and completing SIEM Investigation training from LogRhythm in the same year. Stefan is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and possesses knowledge in Communications Technology from the Open University.

Furthermore, they have training in Effective Communication & Collaboration, Service Delivery (ITIL V.3), and holds the Microsoft MCSE (MCSE NT4.0 MCSE 2000) certification. Additionally, they have received language training in Ministry of Defence Russian and Spanish. Stefan's education also includes courses in Security Analysis, SigInt, and Leadership and Team Management from the Ministry of Defence.
