Helen Tesfaye is a seasoned professional in program management and analysis with extensive experience at the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). Since January 2019, Helen has served as a Programme Management Officer, focusing on policy-oriented research and strategies to enhance peace, security, and economic integration among IGAD member states. Previously, Helen worked as a Program Analyst at the IGAD Red Sea Gulf of Aden and Somalia office and contributed to post-conflict reconstruction and peace-building as a Programme Officer for the IGAD Special Mission to Somalia. With a strong educational background that includes a Master’s degree in Security Sector Management from Cranfield University and another Master’s degree in Managing Peace and Security in Africa from Addis Ababa University, along with Bachelor’s degrees in Information Communication Technology and Business Administration, Helen Tesfaye is well-equipped for roles that demand analytical and operational expertise.
