THE ROLE:
Microsoft 365 Administrators (m/f/d) are responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365 environment, including services like Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. They provide advanced 2nd level support, handle ticket queues, and work on various projects. Their responsibilities also include ensuring the security and compliance of Microsoft 365 systems throughout their lifecycle.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administration of Microsoft 365 Services:
- Manage and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business
- Configure and optimize Azure Active Directory and Active Directory synchronization
- Oversee Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 (Cloud PC) environments
- Endpoint Management:
- Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for device management and client deployments
- Ensure seamless integration and functionality of endpoints across Windows, iOS, and other platforms
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain IT security measures within the Microsoft 365 environment
- Administer antivirus solutions and monitor security protocols
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Support and Consulting:
- Provide international 2nd level user support to internal employees
- Consult with staff to optimize the use of Microsoft 365 tools and services
- Technical Research and Development:
- Evaluate new concepts and technologies in the Microsoft 365 and cloud services space
- Stay updated on the latest features and updates to enhance system performance
- Project Implementation:
- Lead and participate in IT projects related to Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure
- Document the Microsoft 365 infrastructure and maintain up-to-date records
- License Management:
- Administer licenses for Microsoft 365 subscriptions and related services
- Monitor usage and optimize license allocation
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education and Experience:
- IT administrator or relevant work experience with qualified technical training
- Minimum of six to nine years of related experience
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
- Proficient in managing hybrid Active Directory/Azure Active Directory environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies like Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, VMware, or Citrix
- Skilled in system management using Microsoft Endpoint Manager and client deployments
- Professional Attributes:
- Highly skilled with extensive proficiency; capable of working on complex projects
- Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment
- Ability to assist and mentor less-experienced peers
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new IT topics as needed
- Language Skills:
- Good command of written and spoken English
