THE ROLE:
This position involves daily interaction with Healthcare customers, business partners, and internal teams. Working closely with the Healthcare Sales teams, you will be involved in the customer journey from the discovery phase to post-sales handover. Routine activities include tracking customer cases in the helpdesk program, delegating tasks, engaging your peers, and advancing sales opportunities towards closure. Expect to travel 2-3 weeks out of a month and 2-3 days each of those weeks. A strong desire to learn and a proactive attitude are essential. You will join an experienced, motivated team willing to share their knowledge and help you expand your skills and achieve your goals.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Engagement: Provide excellent service to IGEL’s Healthcare customers and partners
Technical Contact: Serve as the primary technical contact for new Healthcare customers from discovery to post-sales handover
Relationship Building: Build and maintain customer and partner rapport through virtual meetings and on-site visits
Solution Development: Analyze customer needs and develop technical solutions tailored to the Healthcare sector
Proof of Concepts: Prepare, execute, and support proof of concepts
RFI/RFP Management: Take ownership of technical RFIs, RFPs, and public tenders and respond in a timely manner
Complex Projects: Work on complex projects, architecting solutions in collaboration with customers and partners while adhering to IGEL reference architecture and best practices
Technology Integration: Assist new technology partners in integrating their solutions into IGEL OS and hand over to the IGEL Ready team to generate new business
Subject Matter Expert: Become a subject matter expert in a specific technology stack relevant to the Healthcare sector
Remote Assistance: Use remote tools to demonstrate IGEL’s solutions and assist customers in troubleshooting issues
Presentations, Workshops and Industry events: Proactively prepare, execute, and follow up on technical product presentations and workshops. Demonstrate technology at industry events and trade shows
Training Promotion: Promote IGEL training offerings, additional services, and certifications
Independent Judgment: Exercise wide latitude for independent judgment
Collaboration: Collaborate with Development, Customer Engineering, Advanced Services, Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to create new technical sales strategies
Feedback Loop: Communicate customer and market requirements to Product Management and Development
Continuous Learning: Continue education by attending training sessions and reading technical documentation
Technical Troubleshooting: Work through technical issues at the operating system level
Case Management: Manage technical issues, solutions, and sales opportunity progress through IGEL’s helpdesk system
Escalation Management: Manage case escalation to maintain forward movement on sales opportunities
Travel: Ability and willingness to travel as needed
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills
Minimum of six to nine years of PreSales Engineer experience
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
In-depth knowledge of IGEL’s products and solutions, especially IGEL OS, the Universal Management Suite, and the IGEL Cloud Gateway, or other Thin Client/Endpoint operating systems is a plus
Good understanding of solutions offered by IGEL’s technology partners
Experience in Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS, Citrix, VMware Horizon environments
Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, AD, etc.
Experience in typical Healthcare applications such as Imprivata, Epic or Cerner is a plus
