Georgeos Hardo

Instructor at iGEM

Georgeos Hardo is an experienced educator and researcher in the field of systems biology and biotechnology. Currently serving as an Instructor at iGEM since September 2021, Georgeos plays a pivotal role in rebooting Cambridge's iGEM team and guiding undergraduate students through competition and laboratory work. Simultaneously, as a PhD student in Systems Biology at the University of Cambridge, Georgeos focuses on researching persistence and ageing in bacterial systems while also supervising the M.Phil in Computational Biology course. Georgeos has previously held positions as a supervisor for undergraduate mathematical biology at Corpus Christi College and Pembroke College, and served as president of the Cambridge Synthetic Biology Society. With a solid educational background including a PhD and MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and extensive research experience across multiple institutions, Georgeos is skilled in bioimage analysis, machine learning, and computational modelling.
