Donal Barrett

Donal Barrett has a strong background in the insurance industry, with experience spanning several roles and companies. Donal most recently served as the Head of Risk at IGI - International General Insurance Co. Ltd. starting in September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Compliance Project Consultant at United Insurance Brokers Limited and as a Transitional Services Manager at AMTRUST SYNDICATES LIMITED in 2019. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at AMTRUST SYNDICATES LIMITED. Donal also has experience at AmTrust at Lloyd's, where they served as a Consultant, Chief Compliance officer, and Director - Chief Operating Officer. Donal has also worked at AmTrust Europe and Jubilee Managing Agency Limited in various compliance and management roles. Donal began their career at Highway Insurance and ALS Motor Policies as a Deputy General Manager and General Manager, respectively.

Donal Barrett received a B.Comm degree from University College Dublin between 1970 and 1974.
