Akeem Lawanson

Akeem Lawanson is a seasoned broadcast host and producer with extensive experience in the entertainment and media industry. Currently, Akeem serves as a Broadcast Host for Riot Games, focusing on the VALORANT Champions Tour Americas since February 2024. Akeem has also been with IGN Entertainment since May 2019, hosting and producing video content, including script writing and celebrity interviews. Previously, Akeem worked at NBCUniversal Media, LLC as a Digital Content Designer and On-Camera Host, and at GrubHub as a Snapchat Artist, where visual content was produced for social media. Additional roles include Online Producer at Tribune Publishing and Video Content Creator at Geek & Sundry. Akeem received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Columbia College Chicago and continues to enhance skills at The Second City Chicago's Training Center.
