Basel Hashish

Basel Hashish's work experience includes being a Python Automation Engineer/Solutions Engineer at IgniteTech from September 2018 to the present. In this role, they developed Python and PowerShell scripts that significantly reduced task time, contributed to the company's knowledge base, and became the tech lead of the automation team.

Prior to that, Basel worked as a Support & Solutions Engineer at Egypt Trust from January 2018 to September 2018. Basel engaged with clients, developed and maintained relationships with strategic clients and partners, and provided consultations when needed. Basel also served as a Presales Engineer from July 2017 to January 2018.

Before entering the software industry, Basel was a First Lieutenant and Commander of the Missile Launchers Company at The Egyptian Armed Forces, Air Defense Forces from April 2014 to April 2017. In this role, they handled complex missile systems, worked under stressful conditions, and was trusted with crucial operations.

Basel's early experience includes working as an Electronics Engineer intern at SBM Offshore from June 2012 to December 2012. Basel created a meticulous simulation of a High Integrity Pressure Protection System, which became a valuable design tool for the department.

Basel Hashish obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, where they studied from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in the field of blockchain development and cybersecurity. In 2018, they received the Blockchain Developer - Mastery Award, Cybersecurity Intro, IBM Blockchain Foundation Developer, and Blockchain Developer - Explorer Award certifications from IBM. Most recently, in August 2022, they obtained the Interchain Developer Academy - Certification from Badgr (now part of Instructure).
