Farzin Zaker

Farzin Zaker has extensive work experience in various software development and leadership roles. Farzin is currently the Vice President of Engineering at IgniteTech since February 2021. Prior to that, Farzin worked at Aclate as a Senior Software Engineering Manager from August 2018 to February 2021, where they built and managed Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to develop and maintain cloud-native applications. Farzin also successfully imported software products from acquired companies and implemented a serverless architecture to reduce cloud resource costs.

Before Aclate, Farzin worked at Pars System Co. as the Director of Software Development from April 2013 to August 2018. In this role, they established the software department and delivered various web-based and mobile B2C platforms. Farzin also led the development of a national cloud and cluster management project and implemented continuous delivery pipelines to reduce delivery time.

Prior to Pars System Co., Farzin worked at Consulting and Engineering Knowledge Technology Era Co. (KTE) as the Director of Software Development from September 2010 to March 2013. During their time at KTE, they implemented Scrum methodology and led the transition to DevOps, resulting in improved delivery time and reduced support tickets.

Farzin's earlier experience includes working at WebNative Software LLC./Toorin Soft as a Technical Manager from March 2007 to August 2010, where they managed research and development teams and created a domain-driven application builder. Farzin also worked as a Software Developer at the same company from August 2002 to February 2007, where they improved the maintainability of enterprise systems and shortened development time.

Before joining WebNative Software LLC./Toorin Soft, Farzin worked at Shayen Informatics Co. as a Software Developer from March 2007 to August 2010. In this role, they utilized incremental prototyping and resolved security vulnerabilities in enterprise systems.

Farzin Zaker has an extensive education history in the field of computer science and software engineering. Farzin began their academic journey at Shahid Beheshti University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Software Engineering from 2003 to 2007. Farzin then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering from the same university from 2010 to 2012.

Seeking to expand their knowledge and expertise, Farzin Zaker went on to enroll in York University to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science, starting in 2018. As of now, it is unclear whether they have completed their PhD or is still in the process.

In addition to their formal education, Farzin Zaker has also obtained a series of certifications to enhance their professional skills. These include certifications in Communication Foundations, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and Motivating and Engaging Employees from LinkedIn, all obtained in June 2021.
