Yanitza Vega-Hughes

Yanitza Vega-Hughes has extensive experience in human resources, spanning multiple industries and roles. Yanitza is currently working as the Human Resources Director at iGPS Logistics LLC since 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Manager of Human Resources at Team Cymru from 2020 to 2023, where they managed all functions of the HR department and served as a liaison to the management and executive teams. Yanitza also worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at Team Cymru from 2020 to 2022, where they built various aspects of the HR function and provided guidance in employee relations matters.

From 2015 to 2019, Yanitza served as a Sr. HR Business Partner and HR Manager at Ravago Americas, LLC. In this role, they acted as a strategic partner to the executive team, advising on employee relations matters across multiple states and countries.

In these roles, they supervised a team and managed benefits programs for thousands of employees.

Yanitza's earlier experience includes working as a District Human Resources Manager at Sears Marketing Center from 1998 to 2002, where they administered benefits, payroll, retirement, and recruitment efforts for a large call center.

Yanitza Vega-Hughes obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in General Requirements from Valencia College in the period from 1993 to 1999. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Human Resources, from the UCF College of Business, from 1999 to 2000. Furthermore, Yanitza achieved a Masters of Science in HR Management from the University of Central Florida between 2017 and 2018. Their additional certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) was obtained from HRCI.
