Jack Jian Xu

Jack Jian Xu has a diverse and extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Jack Jian currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the Telecom Vertical at Coherent Corp. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing strategic marketing initiatives.

Prior to joining Coherent Corp., Jack worked at Molex from 2015 to 2022 as the Director of Sales for Global Strategic Accounts. During their tenure, they developed strategic plans to grow key accounts, built a global team infrastructure, and achieved steady revenue growth for the company.

Before Molex, Jack held the position of Director of Product Line Management at Lumentum from 2012 to 2015. Jack Jian successfully managed the ITLA and micro ITLA product lines, winning major market shares and contributing significantly to the business unit's revenue.

From 2009 to 2012, Jack served as the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at CoAdna Photonics. Jack Jian led the global sales and marketing team, achieving significant revenue growth, gaining market share in WSS and ROADM products, and ensuring a successful IPO.

Jack Jian Xu has an extensive education history in the field of Physics. Jack Jian obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China from 1980 to 1985. Jack Jian then pursued a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Changchun Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Science, where they studied from 1985 to 1987. Jack went on to complete their Ph.D. in Physics from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, from 1988 to 1994.

In order to further enhance their knowledge and skills, Jack also undertook Executive Education in Accounting and Finance at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2015.
