Julie Eng

Julie Eng has an extensive work experience in the technology industry. Julie is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Coherent Corp. and also holds the position of Director At Large at Optica. Prior to these roles, they worked at II-VI Incorporated as the Chief Technology Officer and SVP, General Manager. Before that, they held various executive positions at Finisar Corporation, including EVP/General Manager, 3D Sensing Business Unit and Executive Vice President, Datacom Engineering. Julie also has experience at Agere Systems as a Director of Product Development, Lucent Technologies as a Director of Product Development, and AT&T as a Member of Technical Staff.

Julie Eng completed their education in a progressive manner, first starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Bryn Mawr College, which they obtained from 1984 to 1987. Julie then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at Caltech from 1987 to 1989. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Julie Eng continued their academic journey at Stanford University from 1989 to 1995, where they earned a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
