Jack Xu

Jack Xu has a vast and diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role was as the VP of Engineering at Coherent Corp., a position they have held since April 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Engineering at Finisar, where they specialized in advanced OSA design and engineering for high-speed applications. Jack also worked at Intel Corporation as the Operations Manager, overseeing the operations of Intel's optical link product family. Before that, they held positions at Optical Communication Products, Inc. as a Senior Engineer, Emcore as a Senior Staff Scientist/Project Manager, Tsunami/Stratos Lightwave as the Engineering Director, Johns Manville as a Senior Research Associate, and LightPath Technologies as the Engineering Director. Throughout their career, Jack has demonstrated expertise in various areas including optoelectronic integration, opto-mechanical design, optical packaging, and product development.

Jack Xu attended Zhejiang University from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Science and Engineering. After that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering at China Science Academy from 1982 to 1987.
