Mary Tanton

Mary Tanton has a strong background in compensation, benefits, and HRIS management. Mary started their career in 1993 as a Human Resources Manager at DigitalGlobe and then joined Lockheed Martin in 1995 as a Compensation & Benefits Manager. In 2000, Mary moved to Coherent Corp., where they held various roles including Compensation Manager, Compensation & HRIS Sr. Manager, Director of Compensation, Benefits & HRIS, and Vice President of Global Total Rewards & HR Systems.

Mary Tanton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Mary then went on to complete their Master's in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources Management at Golden Gate University from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Mary Tanton obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2002, they became a Certified Equity Professional Level I from the Certified Equity Professional Institute at Santa Clara University. Mary also obtained The Leadership Architect® certification from Lominger International, a Korn/Ferry Company, in June 2010, and the 360 VOICES® certification, also from Lominger International, in March 2012.
