Wei Sun

Wei Sun has extensive work experience in engineering and research roles. They started their career as an Assistant System Engineer at China Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute and worked there from August 2009 to June 2011. They then joined Lehigh University as a Research Assistant in September 2014 and remained in that position until July 2019. After that, Wei worked as a Senior Engineer at Finisar Corporation from July 2019 to September 2021. They then transitioned to II-VI Incorporated, where they held the position of Lead Engineer from September 2021 to September 2022. Currently, Wei is working as a Principal Engineer at Coherent Corp., starting from September 2022.

Wei Sun earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in the years 2005 to 2009. Later, they pursued an MBA & Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering at Lehigh University from 2012 to 2014. Wei Sun then completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering at Lehigh University, starting in 2014 and finishing in 2019.
