Curtis Cryer

Curtis Cryer has over 40 years of work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Curtis is currently working as a Principal Engineer at SELECT Power Systems since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at CPS Energy from 2007 to 2020, where they held various roles including Principal Engineer Distribution Planning, Engineering Manager for Distribution Planning, and Power Quality Engineer. At CPS Energy, they were responsible for investigating and mitigating voltage sags, surges, and transients, monitoring and integrating distributed generation like solar power, and maintaining voltage regulation systems. Before joining CPS Energy, they worked at the State of Oregon as a Senior Electrical Engineer/Bridge Preservation from 1993 to 2007. Their early career was spent at Portland General Electric as an Electrical Engineer from 1978 to 1993.

Curtis Cryer attended Oregon State University from 1976 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
