Catherine Baker

Catherine Baker has a range of work experience in various organizations. Catherine is currently working as the Interim Chief Operations Officer at IIED Europe. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), including Project Manager and Data Protection Lead, Deputy Project Manager, Senior Coordinator in the Strategy and Learning Group, Partnerships Officer, and Programme Coordinator. Catherine also worked as a Seconder at Bates Wells Braithwaite, conducted research as a Researcher at BirdLife International and IIED, and served as a Programme Administrator at IIED and FIELD. Additionally, Catherine worked as an Events Assistant at the Governance Group, interned at the Environmental Law Foundation, and held the position of Legal Secretary/Paralegal at Robinson Allfree Solicitors.

Catherine Baker has a diverse education history. In 2003, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Kent. Following that, in 2006-2007, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Environmental Law from the University of Nottingham. Moving forward, from 2010 to 2012, they attended the College of law, Bloomsbury, where they completed the Legal Practice Course. Furthermore, in 2021, they attained an MBA Essentials degree in Business/Managerial Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Additionally, they hold various certifications, including an MBA from LSE, MSP® Certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice, a Change Management Foundation certification from APMG International, and PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner project management certifications from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
